Location
Knaveswell Farm Cottage is located between Corfe Castle and Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck in the south eastern
corner of the county on the South Coast of England.
The Isle of Purbeck is renowned as an ideal destination for walkers, ramblers, outdoor sports, naturalists, climbers and bird watchers.
The closest major towns along the coast are Weymouth to the West and Poole and Bournemouth to the East.
Further to the East lies the New Forest National Park. Ferries from Poole Harbour cross to Cherbourg in France.

How to get here
By Car

The cottage is approximately 130 miles south, south west of London with a journey time
of approximately 2 and a half hours by car.
- The most straightforward route is to take the M3 (towards Basingstoke, Southampton);
- At junction 13 on M3 join the M27 motorway (signposted M27 West);
- From the M27 continue forward onto the A31;
- From the A31 take the A348 (signposted Bournemouth) close to Ferndown;
- From the A348 follow the A3049 into Poole;
- Follow the A3049 signposted to Dorchester;
- Then take the A350 to Dorchester / Blandford;
- From the A350 continue forward on to A35;
- Then take the A351 signposted to Wareham / Swanage.
- Go through Wareham continue on A351 until close to Stoborough and then take the B3075 to Stoborough;
- Then return to the A351 to Swanage;
- Continue forward onto East Street - A351 -entering Corfe Castle;
- Drive through Corfe Castle village and continue on through village of Harmans Cross;
- Just beyond St Michaels Garage, turn left (signposted Knitson);
- At end of lane turn left signposted Corfe Castle, Knaveswell Farm is around the corner on your
right.
By Train
From London: Waterloo Station to Wareham Station on South West Trains.
Then bus from Wareham to Harman's Cross and walk to the cottage.
Journey time of approximately 3 hours 15 minutes.
